Will I need to leave my baby alone to cry?
100% not! Every family has their views and comfort level when it comes to sleep training, and I always respect those. I will never get you to do something with which you don’t feel comfortable or agree. There are a variety of different sleep training methods available, and through my Family Intake Form I will find out which ones best suit your comfort level. Do know that we will be making changes to your baby’s sleep patterns and habits and baby’s do not understand nor do they like change. There will be protesting and will likely be some tears. With that being said, you can stay with your baby every step of the way, or you can give them space. It is totally your call!   
What sleep training philosophy do you follow?
There is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to sleep training. I don’t practice one specific method of sleep training as each family I work with is unique. My job as a Sleep Consultant is to find the right method that suits your family and situation. I educate my clients on the different methods that are available, but the method we choose is based on parent preference. 
Will I need to wean my baby from feeding at night?
Nope! We will go over your night time feeding schedule in your intake form and again when we have our consultation. Babies grow so much in their first year of life, so I am 100% in favour of continuing night feeds as long as the parents are comfortable with this. With that being said, it’s important that we find a balance between Baby getting consolidated sleep AND meeting their nutritional needs!  If you are ready to cut out night feeds, I can help you do this too. 
What is a good age to begin sleep training?
It’s biologically appropriate to formally being sleep training when babies are 16 weeks adjusted. The reason we want to wait for Baby to be 16 weeks is that at this age, their circadian rhythms are forming, they can sleep longer stretches during the night, and they are little masters at following cues and signals. Parents can start working on establishing healthy sleep foundations from Day 1 and may find they have very little, if any at all, sleep training to do down the road. 
Can’t I get this advice from a book? Why should I hire a Sleep Consultant?
Yes, you sure can. There is an unlimited amount of resources circulating the web regarding infant and child sleep. There is also a tonne of great books/articles out there. However, there is also a tonne of not so great books/articles. Researching, creating and putting into action a sleep plan can be overwhelming for any mother, let alone a sleep deprived one. By hiring a Sleep Consultant, you will receive a customized sleep plan that is created specifically for your family based on your preferred sleep method choice, goals, values and comfort level. You will receive ongoing support which is something a book cannot provide you.

We should have started sooner

Lindsey is nothing short of amazing and I can’t thank her enough! My little guy now sleeps throughout the night (still with a couple feeds with his age) and naps for over an hour almost every nap! I really had to psych myself up for sleep training and being so sleep deprived I just felt crazy and obsessed with sleep. After reading many books on the various sleep training methods I still had so many questions and Lindsey was so accommodating, supportive, and empathetic of all of my stressors going in. She really did make sleep training painless for our family. It was so much easier than we thought it would be and we only wished we would have started sooner!

Lindsey is nothing short of amazing and I can’t thank her enough! My little guy now sleeps throughout the night (still with a couple feeds with his age) and naps for over an hour almost every nap! We have been through BOTH the grande and the deluxe dockatot, valerian root drops, magnesium supplements and lotion, room spray, special pj’s....the list goes on. We have spent THOUSANDS seeking sleep. I think what held us back from sleep training before was the fear of knowing we had to give it our all. The fear of letting my child cry. I finally decided that my love for my kid had to be greater than my fear of letting her cry. Her sleep (and mine) was far too valuable for me to let some crying interfere with that.

I thought I would be the first family that Lindsey couldn’t help, but it turns out, I’m just another statistic 🙂 -and happy to be one. Lindsey is intuitive about the parents’ needs and provides so much support throughout the process. I felt that having her develop a sleep plan and follow-up, kept me accountable to the whole process. Never in a million years did I think I would be writing this because, ya know, “I know my kid”....

Toddler twins

We are so glad we found Lindsey! We have two (almost three) year old twin toddlers who are in toddler beds and share a room. Bedtime was a three-hour nightmare every night! One of our boys was getting up 3-6 times every night to come into bed with us and NOBODY was sleeping. We talked to Lindsey and came up with a sleep plan and it actually didn’t take long for our night waker to start sleeping through the night! We have gone from 3 hour bedtime battles with half a dozen night wakings to 30 minute bedtimes and maybe one night waking per week. I feel like a new woman with all this energy and we sometimes don’t know what to do with all the time we now have in the evening. We can’t thank Lindsey enough for how she helped our family!!
